Kong Cat Wobbler | We have three cats that love playing with this. They're all quite different personalities and have different techniques to play with it. Would highly recommend as a snack time toy. -TEGAN |
FroliCat Multi Laser | Love this laser, keeps my 2 boys happy. Easy to turn on and just leave. Very sturdy, has not been knocked over by their aggressive play. -JENNIFER |
Frequently Asked Questions:
How can I tell if my cat is overweight?
The best way to determine if your cat is overweight is to work off a Body Condition Score. You can have a go at this yourself, otherwise your cat's treating vet will be able to help you. An ideal body weight is a score 4 or 5 (out of 9), where you will be able to easily feel your cat's ribs (the should feel similar to the bones on the back of your hand), and the presence of a waist. If your cat scores 6 or more then it may be time for them to shed some weight!
What cat food is best for overweight cats?
Veterinary prescription weight loss diets are considered the 'gold standard' for weight loss. These diets have been scientifically proven to reduce body weight and contain controlled calories as well as higher fibre to help your cat feel fuller for longer. Examples of these diets include Hills Prescription Diet Metabolic Weight Management and Royal Canin Veterinary Satiety Diet. As these are veterinary prescription diets, they require the recommendation from your cat's treating veterinarian. When feeding these weight loss diets, it is important that they are the sole source of food and it is important to avoid any extra treats (and therefore extra calories) - so make sure you get everyone in your family on the same page to help your cat achieve it's goal weight!
