We have different varieties including retractable dog gates, as well as outdoor and indoor gates in various designs and sizes, ensuring you find a gate that seamlessly fits your space and meets your pet's needs. Whether you need a gate to limit your dog's access to certain areas or to create a secure space, our assortment has got you covered.
Dog gates can be pressure mounted (held in place by applying pressure to walls or a door frame), freestanding, or hardware mounted. Free standing gates are the quickest to place, but are the least secure option. Pressure mounted gates are easy to install, whereas ones that are hardware mounted take more time to install but are more sturdy.
Our dog gates combine practicality with aesthetics, offering functionality without compromising your home decor. Made from durable materials, these gates are designed to withstand the test of time and the enthusiasm of your pet. Adjustable and versatile, they can accommodate different door widths and room layouts. With safety as our priority, each gate is designed to offer secure containment and easy accessibility.
Dog gates serve multiple purposes, including establishing boundaries and providing a secure, designated space for your pet. They are excellent tools for training, teaching dogs which areas are off-limits, and are especially useful for house training puppies or acclimating a new pet. By providing a safe zone, they also offer comfort during times of stress, giving dogs a sense of security.
They can also keep dogs away from potentially dangerous areas like kitchens or stairs, and safeguard your possessions by limiting their access. Offering peace of mind for pet owners, they serve as a protective measure when constant supervision isn't possible, thereby ensuring your dog's safety and well-being.
When choosing a dog gate for your home, consider the size of your dog, making sure you choose a barrier they cant jump over or sneak between the bars. Consider where you will be putting the gate - indoors or outdoors? Measure the area where the gate will be placed to ensure you purchase the correct size.
Check how the gate opens and shuts and if this will work for you. Make sure that the gaps between the bars are not of a size your dog (or child) can get their head or parts of their bodies stuck in.
The benefits of using dog gates outweigh the risks, but there are some risks to be aware of. Dog gates placed at the top of a set of stairs can fall if if a person or pet places pressure on them unless they are hardware mounted gates, so make sure any gate placed at the top of a staircase is hardware mounted to avoid accidents.
Gates that aren't tall enough or sturdy enough will allow dogs to get through them into the area you dont want them in, so be sure to select the correct type and height for your dog. Gates with bars or gaps of a size that kids or pets can get trapped in are a risk as well. Make sure you select a gate that has bars that are small enough that your dog cant get trappedin or look at a mesh type gates.
This depends on the height of your dog and their atheletic ability. The gate needs to be tall enough that they cant walk over it or jump over it. We have a range of heights available.
As long as you buy a gate that suits your dog's size, atheletic ability and personality, and it is installed correctly, then they shouldnt be able to get past it. If you have a large, boistrous dog, then a free standing gate would not be a suitable option as they are easily moved. A better option in this case would be a hardware mounted gate.
We certainly do! We have both plastic and wire mesh gates, you can find our mesh gates here: Mesh dog gates.
