Exelpet All Wormer for Dogs is an effective worming tablet which controls all major intestinal worms commonly found in Australian dogs including roundworm, hookworm, whipworm and tapeworm. Does not control heartworm.
Treats and controls all major intestinal worms, including roundworm and hookworm
Also protects your dog from tapeworm including hydatid tapeworm
Dose: for dogs 1.5-2.5kg, give one-quarter (1/4) tablet by mouth. For dogs 2.6-5.0kg, give half (1/2) a tablet by mouth. For dogs weighing 5.1-10kg, give one (1) tablet by mouth. For dogs over 10kg, give one (1) tablet for every 10kg bodyweight. Adult dogs should be treated every 3 months. Puppies should be treated at age 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 8 weeks, and 12 weeks, and then monthly until 6 months of age. For pregnant dogs, dose at mating, before whelping, and then every 3 months.
How do dogs get worms? Adult dogs are exposed to worms through soil, via their mother, and they may also be exposed from eating small animals like lizards who can act as intermediate hosts. Heavy infestations with worms can cause diarrhoea, weight loss, poor growth and anaemia. Puppies are particularly susceptible, so they should be wormed every fortnight from 2 to 12 weeks of age, then every month until 6 months of age. Adult dogs and puppies over 6 months old should be wormed at least every 3 months, or every month if a heartworm injection has not been given at your vet (see heartworm products here). For more information on worming, see our article Which Flea and Worming Product Do I Need? If you suspect your dog has worms, always seek veterinary advice to complete a proper diagnosis.
This product does not treat for heartworm. If your pet does not have extra heartworm protection on board (including an annual heartworm injection), you might like to combine with a heartworm product.

These are broad guidelines only, designed to assist with feeding your pet based on their weight, age and activity level. Always check the feeding charts on your pet's food packaging in conjunction with these feeding guidelines. Required amounts may differ between individual pets, and adjustments may be required to maintain optimal body weight.
Once or twice daily feeding is recommended for adult dogs, unless otherwise specified by your veterinarian. Puppies and kittens require feeding more regularly, with the total portion divided into three or four meals throughout the day. Ensure fresh water is available at all times.
