Kelato Lyte Electrolyte Replacer
Horses exercising in hot conditions can lose up to 15L of sweat in a session, along with vital electrolytes, predominately sodium, potassium and chloride.
When electrolyte levels become depleted it can result in dehydration, reduced feed and water intake, lethargy, fatigue, muscle weakness and recurrent bouts of tying up. Kelato Lyte is precisely balanced to help replace electrolytes lost through sweat to help maintain hydration and blood volume.
Top dress the horses feed according to the following directions based on 500kg bodyweight:
For an Isotonic Drench: mix 60g of KelatoLYTE in 5L of water (12g per 1L). Only perform an isotonic drench under veterinary supervision
For an Electrolyte Paste: mix 30g of KelatoLYTE with water or apple sauce. Mix into the horses feed
Do NOT add KelatoLYTE to the horses drinking water. Do not use electrolytes on dehydrated horses or those refusing to drink. Contact your veterinarian. Always ensure the horse has access to fresh, clean water when supplementing with electrolytes.
