Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Canin Veterinary Skin Support Dry Dog Food

Royal Canin Skin Support is formulated to provide nutritional support to dogs with skin disorders like atopic dermatitis and flea allergy dermatitis. It also aids wound healing and is beneficial for dogs suffering from otitis externa (ear infection).

The skin is the largest organ in your pets body and it is directly affected by the nutrients they consume. As the barrier between your pets body and the outside world, it protects against fluid loss, physical injury and infection. Essential fatty acids play an integral role in the maintenance of the skins natural barrier function. Pets fed a diet that is deficient in essential fatty acids can have scaly skin, loss of skin elasticity and a dry dull coat. Adding essential fatty acids to your pets diet will help to support skin barrier function, reduce dryness and itching, and improve their coats shine and lustre.

Royal Canin Skin Support is rich in the omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA to reduce inflammation caused by skin irritation and help restore normal barrier function. In addition, it also contains a special skin barrier complex to help strengthen the skins barrier effect. Skin Support also contains Royal Canins patented skin support complex, which uses the synergistic action of tumeric, aloe vera, vitamin C and taurine to improve the skins natural defences and accelerate healing. Anti-oxidants including vitamins E and C are also added to neutralise free radicals and reduce oxidative injury to cells.

Key Benefits:

  • Omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA to control inflammation and restore normal skin barrier function
  • Skin Barrier Complex to strengthen skins natural barrier effect
  • Skin Support Complex to improve the skins natural defences and accelerate wound healing
  • Antioxidants to neutralise free radicals and reduce oxidative injury to cells

This diet is not recommended for dogs with hyperlipidaemia or pancreatitis, dogs who are pregnant or lactating, or growing puppies.
