Our Story
Many good stories start with a human and their dog. Mike noticed his Dad was struggling to drive to the pet store, pick up huge bags of dog food, and haul it home. And so in 2011, Pet Circle was born in Sydney with the aim of helping people care for their pets by making purchasing pet products as simple as possible. We’ve since grown to support more than 16 different animals (and many breeds), stock 15,000+ products, and are committed to bettering the lives of pets and pet parents alike.
Today, we are the No.1 player in the Australian Online Pet industry, and one of Australia's top 5 eCommerce businesses. We support close to one million loyal Aussie customers by providing easy online purchasing, personalised auto delivery, vet advice from our in-house vet team, pet insurance, and competitive pricing on leading brands.
We are a true specialist for everything 'pet, and we’re excited to continue to expand the way that we can help our Pet Parent customers care for their pets in a variety of different ways'. Our team continues to grow and we now have over 500 team members based across Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines.
The Journey
Company founded by Mike and James as “Paws for Life”
Expanded from dogs to all pets, changed name to Pet Circle
Opened our first interstate warehouse in Perth
Open Brisbane Warehouse, began operation of our own Pet Circle fleet of vans
Released our mobile app and Pet Insurance. We also raised our Series C funding and became a unicorn!
Launched Pet Circle Pharmacy, Opened Melbourne warehouse in Tarneit
