Information on the latest changes and enhancements to Advance pet food products, including ingredient updates, new formulations, and packaging improvements.

Advance™ is rolling out a refreshed look across its dry dog food range over the coming months, along with a few formula and range updates. Most of what's changing is on the outside, same trusted recipe, easier to spot on shelf, but there are some range consolidations and a handful of discontinued lines worth knowing about before you next reorder.
A fresh new look
Advance™ has redesigned its packaging to make the range easier to navigate, both on shelf and online. For most products, this is a pack refresh only, the nutrition inside stays the same.
Advance™ has also revised kibble size and shape across the range to make eating easier, including softer, easier-to-break kibble for senior dogs and a puppy kibble designed to hydrate more easily when mixed with water.
Vet tip: if your dog's usual bag suddenly looks different, don't panic, check the product name and recipe on the new pack against your current one. In most cases it's the exact same food in new packaging, not a new diet.
Advance Healthy Weight range update
Advance's weight management range is being consolidated and renamed. Advance Healthy Weight for medium and large dogs is becoming Advance Healthy Weight ALL Breeds, with several pack sizes combined into a single, clearer All Breed line (available in 2.5kg, 13kg and 17kg). You'll find it in silver packaging, alongside the blue Core range.
Alongside the rename, and on top of the reduced fat content, L-carnitine and green-lipped mussel powder already in the recipe, Advance has added new benefits to the formula, including:
- support for a healthy digestive system
- skin and coat care
- daily immune defence

Advance Mobility range update
The Mobility range is moving from separate medium and large breed bags to one All Breed formula (13kg), making it simpler to find the right bag regardless of your dog's size.
In addition to the green-lipped mussel powder, manganese, omega-3 and omega-6, and L-carnitine already in the recipe, bew benefits have also been added to:
- support healthy bones
- healthy gut microbiome
- antioxidant vitamin E

Advance Oodles range update
The Oodles range is consolidating its Advance Oodles Large Breed Turkey & Rice Adult Dry Dog Food into one diet option, Advance Oodles Medium & Large Breed Turkey & Rice Adult Dry Dog Food.
Alongside the existing benefits including skin barrier nutrients, heart health nutrients, prebiotic fibre, glucosamine and chondroitin, new benefits added include:
- tartar reduction formula
- skin and coat care

Discontinued lines and what to switch to
As part of the refresh, some products and lines are being discontinued. We know it's never ideal when a product your dog is used to disappears from shelves, so here's what's changing and what we'd suggest switching to instead.

Ensure a Gradual Transition
As with any new formula, we recommend a gradual transition of 7 - 10 days, particularly for dogs with sensitive tummies.
We understand that changes to your pet's diet can be a concern, particularly for pets with ongoing health conditions like diabetes. Black Hawk and the Pet Circle Vet Squad are here to help make the transition as smooth as possible.

Ensure a Gradual Transition
Because the ingredients of these products have changed slightly, to avoid any dietary upsets, we recommend that you gradually transition your pet from the old to new formula over a period of 7 to 10 days.
To make this transition possible, we recommend keeping approximately a week's worth of the old formula in reserve.
