What if my pet doesn't like the taste?

A new Royal Canin Factory for a selection of premium dry cat food

If you are feeding a Royal Canin dry cat food product, you may notice some minor changes to the packaging of your pet's food over the next few months.

This is because Royal Canin Australia have started to source a selection of their dry cat food products from the newest and state-of-the-art Royal Canin Factory, which is located in South Korea, in addition to their European factories.

Royal Canin has a number of factories around the world, designed and dedicated to making Royal Canin products. Each factory follows the same processes for raw materials, manufacturing, quality and food safety to ensure that every bag of food follows the same recipe and meets the highest Royal Canin quality standard.

As a cat owner, this means that each time you purchase your cat's favourite Royal Canin food, you can be confident that every bag is consistently the same, no matter what Royal Canin factory it was made in.

What has changed?

Highly palatable kibble!

As the recipe for your cat's food is not changing, and the nutritional profile is the same, you do not need to undertake a 7-day feeding transition.

If your cat is particularly prone to digestive upsets, you may wish to do a gradual feeding transition.

Addition of some Korean writing on the packaging

While the kibble remains consistent, you will notice some minor changes to the writing on the packaging. For products made in South Korea, it is mandatory for certain information to be displayed in Korean writing. This is why you will start to see a small-font Korean translation for aspects of the packaging such as the product name, claims and feeding instructions. You will also see a reduction of the number of languages on the back-of-pack, which allows for an expanded layout and larger feeding guide.

These minor packaging changes will apply to the following Royal Canin dry cat food products:
