Founderguard
Suitable for: Horses on high-grain diets, grazing lush pastures particularly during spring and autumn, young horses in preparation for sales, horses that have suffered laminitis previously, horses undergoing a change in diet, and horses with seedy toe, white line separation or poor quality hooves.
Founded in 1968 by a veterinarian by the name of Pierre-Richard Dick, Virbac is dedicated exclusively to animal health, formulating a range of veterinary pharmaceuticals, vaccines and a wide range of pet care products for horses, dogs and cats.
Founderguard has been scientifically developed for the prevention of grain-induced founder in horses. It has been shown that horses on high-grain diets are prone to build-up of lactic acid in their hindgut, leading to damage of the gut lining and laminitis. Founderguard is formulated in a fibrous pellet, which is delivered to the site of action in the hindgut and works to prevent lactic acidosis build up.

The scoop provided contains approximately 25g when loosely filled.
For individual horses: 5g per 100kg bodyweight once daily.
