Suitable for: Horses on a pasture-only diet, horses receiving a home-mixed diet which requires balanced vitamin and mineral levels, or to top up pre-mixed feeds when they arent fed at required levels.

Hygain Balanced is a pelleted, all-round, low dose balancer feed concentrate for horses. These palatable pellets contain high levels of Vitamin E and Selenium for their antioxidant properties, Biotin for hoof and coat health, chelated minerals, quality protein and essential amino acids for muscle development.

Feeding Guide: Hygain Balanced can be fed on its own or can be used to balance home-mixed diets or top up premixed feeds. Adjust grain intake according to pregnancy and lactation status, age, breed, growth rate, body condition, work load and pasture/hay availability and quality. Introduce Hygain Balanced pellets gradually over a 7 - 14 day period. Feed a minimum of 1% of your horses body weight daily as roughage.

Feeding rates per day are based on a mature 500kg horse and are intended as a guide only:

Foals 6 - 12 months: 0.5kg
Weanlings/Yearlings: 1kg
Dry Mares, Early Pregnant Mares: 0.5 - 0.75kg
Late Pregnant Mares: 0.75 - 1kg
Lactating Mares: 1 - 1.25kg
Horses in light work: 0.5 - 0.75kg
Horses in medium to intense work: 1 - 1.25kg
Spellers and Maintenance: 0.5kg

Note: Provide fresh, clean water at all times. Ponies may require 15L/day and horses up to 30L of water per day. These requirements can double in hot weather or when the horse is in work. Avoid feeding on the ground as this can lead to increased ingestion of worm larvae. If feeding multiple horses, ensure there is enough space for each horse to access adequate amounts of food.
