- Initial Setup: Gently rinse the unit in clean, conditioned aquarium or distilled water before placing it in the tank. Never use tap water, alcohol, soaps, or chemical detergents, as these will permanently ruin the sensitive indicator disc.
- Placement: Press the suction cup firmly against the inside glass of your aquarium. For the most responsive and accurate readings, choose a high-visibility location that receives steady, gentle water movement.
- Interpretation Time: Upon initial placement, allow the sensor disc up to 30 minutes to fully acclimate to your aquarium water and display its first accurate color reading.
- Maintenance: Over time, algae or organic biofilm may coat the monitor. If this occurs, gently wipe the face of the card with a soft, clean aquarium-safe cloth or sponge. Avoid rubbing or pressing heavily directly on the central sensor disc itself.
