Susan & Patch Nsw, Au (reviewed Sun Mar 13 14:23:49 AEDT 2016 )

Patch loves his TOTW Pacific Stream Smoked Salmon, Poos are nice & small & firm, best poos he's done in a while...Now we are going to try the TOTW Sierra Mountain Roasted Lamb, so I can rotate flavours, Lamb for breakfast & Salmon for dinner.... The Pacific Stream Smoked Salmon is the only Grain Free kibble in Australia without Peas & Garbanzo beans all the Grain Free kibbles have peas or lentils or garbanzo beans they all give Patch very bad wind pain & farts, so he could never eat a grain free kibble until now...

Great product, works well for my 2 Puggles (one 9 month old and a 3 Y/O) Shiny coats and less pooing that you see in cheaper foods. Smells great and they are always excited to try new flavors, would recommend

I have recently been trying different grain free brands for my 2 cocker spaniels. Taste of the wild caused excessive thirst in both my dogs where they would drink and drink water all day even in the winter months. I have never seen them drink so much water as they have never been big water drinkers. I was shocked to see salt so high up in the ingredient list, which is listed on TOTW website and not here. As soon as I stopped giving them this the excessive thirst stopped. I alternate now between Sunday pets and Ivory coat grain free in the mornings and Big Dog BARF at night and they are happy healthy dogs.

My 7 month old pup loves this! He is quite a fussy eater and usually only eats dry food when mixed with wet food, but he loves this - now he's even healthier with even softer fur. My 15 year old dog absolutely loves it too so I mix a little with her dry food. Their poopies are smaller and firmer and aren't as smelly as before. Highly recommended.

My Blue Healer loves this food. Her coat is shinny and soft. She never has smelly number twos. She is 14 mths old and I have fed her this brand since a pup

My rescue greyhound had been having wet poop for over a month and wouldn't eat dry food on its own without wet food. After this she's got her happy stomach and loves her food so much!

I mix and rotate my dogs food using 4 different "quality" brands and this one is always on our shopping list. Quality ingredients and the right balance of ingredients based on what a dog would naturally require to be healthy. And good for dogs with sensitive skin.

My golden retriever loves this food.

Kyles Colyton, New South Wales, Australia (reviewed Tue May 28 11:02:18 AEST 2013 )

I highly recommend this product! Its expensive but if your dog suffers from skin allergies then try with this food. I went from having a dog that scratched constantly to one that barely scratches as all. His poo's are firm and he loves the taste!! Love love love this product and will continue to feed :) slow delivery which is upsetting i hope it doesnt continue

Annie Melbourne, Victoria, Australia (reviewed Tue Jun 04 12:30:55 AEST 2013 )

I trialled my dog on this food, but it seemed to upset his stomach. He had constant diarrhea while on it. My research shows that this is a quality line however, so it might just not work for our dog. Worth trying if you are after a grain free formula

Mitch North East Victoria (reviewed Mon Jul 15 09:02:32 AEST 2013 )

I mainly feed my dog TOTW Pacific Stream, but he's also tried the High Prairie & Wetlands varieties & similar comments apply. My dog tends to have a sensitive stomach, but he's had no problems with TOTW. He seem to like it (or at least accept it) better than other brands. (But he doesn't love it the way he loves his fresh meat!) I think its good that sweet potatoes appears in the ingredients as well as (in fact ahead of) potatoes - better than having a high proportion of potatoes. Salmon is shown as the first ingredient, but that's including a high water content. On a dry basis it would be further down the list. But that hardly matters as the next ingredient is ocean fish meal (dry ground fish) so there is plenty of fish. Calories are moderate & the price is reasonable for what appears to be a good quality grain-free kibble (but obviously I can't be sure of the quality of the individual ingredients, other than repeating that there have been no stomach issues). Some people find that a fish & sweet potato diet clears up their dog's skin problems. Unfortunately I can't say the same, but he's not as bad as when on other (grain inclusive) feeds.

I bought this food to try it as I normally purchase bison and I found my dogs loved the food as they do all the taste of the wild food

lachie perth (reviewed Wed Aug 14 12:28:12 AEST 2013 )

I just started using this food as I wanted a more ethical (not factory farmed) dog food. We previously had our dogs on air dried raw which was very expensive and one of our dogs was getting a lot of gas from it. This is much more cost eficient, still very good quality, and my dogs gas has settled right down

I have a 9 year old border collie who has quite sever skin allergies. After years of trialing a variety of foods (cheap & expensive) and failing, I have finally found a product that works really well, and he "woofs" it down!

I purchased this product a few weeks ago for my 5 month old Siberian Husky, let me just say WOW he absolutly loves it. He has only ever eaten top quality dog food and this one is now on the top of the list. I will continue to purchase Taste Of The Wild for him!!

Boysie Central Coast, NSW, Australia (reviewed Tue Nov 12 08:24:50 AEDT 2013 )

My dog has a sensitive stomach and was on a special diet but still had skin problems and was always leaving runny gifts in the yard. Now that he is eating this, it has all gone completely due to the fact there it does not contain any grains or other nasty fillers that other brands use. It is really worth a try, your dog will thank you....or at least you will be happier when collecting yard deposits.

lachie perth (reviewed Fri Nov 29 19:01:48 AEDT 2013 )

Very happy with this food, I use it mainly for training, the size of the kibble is not too big and the ingredients are good quality

revboy1 null (reviewed Sat Dec 07 14:58:12 AEDT 2013 )

My great dane does really well on this food as he has a sensitive stomach and can only have grain free. Plus it's cheap to.

Zeee Radelaide (reviewed Wed Jan 08 21:30:02 AEDT 2014 )

Feeding this to my Newfy who had a long time sensitivity to RICEEE!!! I didn't think of it either neither could the vets find a definite reason. They thought it was an issue with chicken , beef or pork. Now we know - been feeding this primary source of protein from fish without RICE as filler in it . He loves it and has no more scaly skin cuz of the rice problems . I hope there was a bigger bag so that I could feed my Samoyed same thing too. It's so hard keeping and maintaining a pet these days. It's great quality food highly recommended for any pet owners who have skin issues. You won't be disappointed.

kazza Ballarat North, Victoria, Australia (reviewed Tue Jan 21 08:55:23 AEDT 2014 )

my dogs have been on this food now for over a month and the difference is unbelievable. Stools are firm and smaller, coats are shining and they have heaps of energy. Love it.

lmj14 Brisbane, Queensland, Australia (reviewed Sun Mar 30 14:23:11 AEDT 2014 )

Very happy with this product, especially because it is grain free and not full of junk like most dog foods. Already noticing less stomach issues/smelly farts!! Hoping to see less skin allergies as well.

I bought this for my cat who I think has an allergy. Possibly to wheat. This product, being grain free, was one I could use to see if it stopped her symptoms. So far so good.

So far no complaints about this food! My pooch (kelpie cross rotti) absolutely loves it & it's completely cleared up his dry/itchy/dandruff condition & his coat is super shiny. Have put friends onto it as they're quite impressed with the changes in my boy. Best I've tried so far.

Kerryn Melbourne, Victoria, Australia (reviewed Fri Dec 19 10:44:31 AEDT 2014 )

My dog Misha has allergies so we need to use grain free food. We use Ziwi Peak but its expensive so I add the Taste of the Wild food to help keep the costs down and give Misha variety. She loves it.

I have a very fussy Alaskan Malamute and he does not eat Kibble, period! Since I bought Taste of the wild Pacific stream Salomon he is mad about it. more over this is also a grain free product which is best for dogs. very recomanded.

Birgit Illawarra, New South Wales, Australia (reviewed Wed Dec 24 07:14:55 AEDT 2014 )

Bought this after reading some reviews. My miniature schnauzer was having trouble with allergies and I thought changing her kibble might help, so we bought this grain free kibble. She is not a huge eatee so I knew the kibble would last for her. She has responded to it very positively and loves it. If she does leave some then our new pup is very quick to finish it off, I think he loves it more than his puppy kibble,

My dog refuses to eat this without mixing it with canned food. And she's not usually picky. It's made her coat nice but it's not cost effective for me.

nerakrichards Melbourne, Victoria, Australia (reviewed Tue Jun 30 14:17:11 AEST 2015 )

My 2 huskies are quite fussy eaters until I started feeding them the Taste of the Wild food range. They now sit and sometimes drool while I prepare their dinners ... such a welcome change to not eating. I have been feeding them this range since September 2014 after many unsuccessful attempts with other brands. This brand contains top ingredients which I truly appreciate for my 2 fur babies :)

stelk5 (reviewed Wed Sep 09 11:53:19 AEST 2015 )

After reading an online review just recently in July with regards to which dog food was the best I felt that I owed it to the 2 dogs who are so loyal and loving to only give them the best. Before this I was using Hills Science diet for about 6 months but my 2 kelpie x b/collies wouldn't eat this without wet food added to the mix. Until I read all the ingredients of a well based meal for your best friend and I immediately changed food and my dogs devour it every night. There coats are shinier and picking up their poo has been so much easier, firmer and a lot less of them. Great food, 2 happy dogs and 2 very happy owners. There loving it! TG

when I first got rescue dog Char-lee he vomited ever 2 days so I tried a few types of food and this was the only one that worked , all our other dogs love it and none of our dogs go to eat grass and vomit anymore , they all have nice coats and no upset tummies ..

I bought this in the hopes it would help the itchy skin on my Jack Russell and within a week his itching had gone, very happy! Only downfall is its very expensive!

Franco (reviewed Sat Oct 03 09:34:44 AEST 2015 )

Going to give this Salmon food a try soon. Tried the other Taste of the wild types including the reward biscuits. The dog was looking much healthier, good shiny coat, bright eyes and lots more energy. Unfortunately these all contain chick peas as an ingredient which gives my dog bad scours, despite being introduced over a 4 week period. So a meat based dry product without peas would be a sure winner for me. Hope this is attended to soon.

Our beagle loves this stuff! It helps keep his coat healthy and shiny and has also helped keep him lean.

BillieJean (reviewed Wed Oct 14 09:00:56 AEDT 2015 )

I bought this basd on it being grain free and a 'best seller'. I cannot believe the difference in my dog, it was immediate after starting her on this. She had a very irritable bowel (bad mucousy stools) and within a day she is back to normal - havent had a bad day since!!! highly recommend this product!!!!

I bought this 2 months ago for a change. My 1 year old dog refuses to eat it even if she is starving. Her skin has changed from pink to black.

bj405 Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia (reviewed Sun Nov 01 12:12:18 AEDT 2015 )

I got this as a change from the black hawk fish flavour that I usually buy and I don't think it was as good. It's a good quality product with no grains but the dogs were a bit so-so about it, perhaps because it doesn't smell as "fishy" as the other one.

Kylie jane Melbourne, Victoria, Australia (reviewed Tue Nov 03 12:30:08 AEDT 2015 )

After switching to this no-grain natural food my allergy prone staffordshire terrier seems a lot happier. His skin allergies have reduced and he loves the taste of it going by how quickly he scoffs it down. He used to leave his previous food in the bowl. I like that it has quite a few fruit and herb ingredients and has a fish base which is a much more natural food for any dog. Will definitely keep buying this for my dog.

Racheal null (reviewed Fri Dec 11 18:37:20 AEDT 2015 )

I got recommended this product from a German Shepherd breeder as I was looking for an alternative food for my 5 year old German Shepherd who has always had allergies and scratches a lot. After feeding for about 4- 5 days we noticed he was scratching a lot less. Without jumping to conclusions we continued to watch him closely and after only 10 days he doesn’t scratch at all! We are no longer feeling guilt and sad when we used to see him scratch as now we have a very happy, relaxed dog. We will definitely continue to use the food!
