Royal Canin Feline Care Nutrition

Royal Canin Feline Wet Pouches with Gravy

Royal Canin previously used caramel as a colouring agent for the gravy in their wet cat diets. As it was only a colouring agent and had no nutritional impact on the diet, the decision was made to remove it. This change has no impact on the quality, functionality or safety of the diets.

The removal means that you may notice a change in the colour of the gravy in your cat's food. Some cats can be sensitive to any change and may require a few days to adapt. If this is the case for your cat, we recommend slightly warming the food to help increase the aroma and help support your cat in this transition phase.

What do I need to do?

If you have an Auto Delivery with us for a product with an updated formula only, we will send out the new products in your regular order as they arrive in our warehouse. For products where pack size changes have occurred or where a product has been replaced or discontinued, you will need to set up a new Auto Delivery for this product.

Check the table above and if a transition is recommended for your pet's food, follow the advice given to minimise any tummy upsets and to ensure they accept the new taste or texture of their food. Please note that the recommended feeding rations for new formulas may have changed, so you will need to check the feeding guide on the pack and adjust your daily feeding amount accordingly. If you are not sure how much to feed your pet please check with your vet or our team of in house vets.

What if my pet doesn't like the taste?

All Royal Canin foods are developed for optimal palatability, taking in to account aromas, textures, flavours, kibble sizes and nutrients. We are confident your pet will love the taste!

In the rare instance that a pet does not like the taste, all Royal Canin diets are covered by a palatability guarantee, so if this does happen to you simply get in touch with us and let us know.

Where does my Royal Canin food come from?

The country of manufacture of your pet's Royal Canin product may vary from time to time, with Royal Canin Australia sourcing dry diets from the Royal Canin factories in France, Australia and South Korea, and wet diets from the Royal Canin factories in Austria and South Korea.
