- Suitable for use in freshwater aquariums, saltwater aquariums, and ponds
- Rinse the rings with aquarium water before placing them in your filter
- Place the media loose in a filter chamber or within a filter media bag
- It is recommended to replace the rings approximately every six months
- Periodically wash the media in used tank water to remove any accumulated debris
- Never use chlorinated tap water to clean the rings as this will kill the beneficial bacteria
- Avoid replacing all of the filter media at once to preserve the established bacterial colony
