Sentinel Spectrum is different to many other broad spectrum parasite prevention products for dogs by including coverage for hydatid tapeworm.

Sentinel Spectrum can be safely given to puppies from 6 weeks of age, as well as during pregnancy and lactation for adult females.

Sentinel Spectrum contains lufenuron, an active ingredient which prevents flea eggs from successfully hatching, thus breaking the flea lifecycle and preventing infestations from developing. For dogs with an active flea infestation or flea allergy dermatitis, it is recommended to administer an additional flea killing treatment when first beginning use of Sentinel such as Capstar to quickly reduce adult flea numbers.
